Yes, the Real Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America, is back in the saddle – the new Sheriff in Town.
Donald Trump took the presidential oath, again, on Monday, January 20, 2025, this time as the 47th President.
And he started smoking and ordering everyone and everything about, to make good on the promises he made during his campaigns.
It was Executive Orders galore, and he started signing them in batches to fulfil his campaign promises. In fact, his inauguration address was like an extension of his campaigns, and in the presence of outgoing President Biden and Past Presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton, he rubbished all past policies and declared that America was going to become great again, after what he practically declared as ‘poor performance’ by all other Presidents before him.
The executive orders he signed and the action he has taken thus far, ended several policies of Biden, and they are many. He signed a series of orders that revoked at about 80 of Joe Biden’s policies and pardoned over 1,000 people charged in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.
He stated during his address by that from that day, there would be only two genders officially recognised by the US government – Male & Female. That one was like a bomb! Also, the Mexican border and immigration policies associated with it and other illegal immigrant issues were on top of the changes he pronounced, and these seemed to trigger the rash of Executive Orders.
Top on the list of the orders are withdrawal from the World Health Organisation, WHO, and Paris Climate Change Agreement, threat to members of NATO to contribute more to the running of the organisation or the US will quit.

President Trump says the executive orders he has issued and orders to come will lead to ‘complete restoration of America’.
While some Americans and other analysts believe Trump is playing to the gallery and trying to play on the support he believes he has at the moment, there is no doubt that many of these Executive Orders will be challenged in court. Some suits are likely to go all the way to the Supreme Court, especially those affecting powerful groups like the LGBTQ people and Latinos who will feel betrayed that their support in the last election has not yielded anything positive with the man whom may be considered erratic in his behaviour but who seems to have the full support of quite a large group of rich and even rural Americans at the moment.
